Opened in 1886 the American Seating Co. originally the Grand Rapids School Furniture Co. created the first seat and desk combo, then elevated into stadium seats for ballparks like Fenway and the original Yankee Stadium.  These days the factory focuses on creating state-of-the-art transportation seats around the world. The doors are from the original factory.
