Lincoln Dining Table
The Lincoln Dining table is created from the original solid pine beams salvaged from the original Lincoln Motor Company Factory. Built in 1908 on Detroits New Center area, the historic factory was built for the Warren Motor Car Co. but was taken over by automaker Henry Leland and served as the first Lincoln Motor Factory in 1917. After Leland realized the facility wouldn’t fit his needs, he began construction on a 600,000-square-foot production plant for Lincoln at W. Warren and Livernois avenues.
The factory is now home to Recycle Here! a recycling center and drop-off facility in that opened in 2007. The recycling center is located in the Warren Motor Car Company Building, now the Dreamtroit complex. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2020. The Lincoln Street Art Park is an adjacent sculpture garden of site-specific installations made from materials salvaged at Recycle Here!
